OCTOBER 13 (MONDAY):

Bush mascot will visit the Philippine Congress to test the security preparations of the House for the upcoming Bush visit

OCTOBER 14 (TUESDAY):

Fluvial protest vs. Bush visit

Political prisoners to stage 5 Days of Fasting vs. Bush

OCTOBER 15 (WEDNESDAY):

Legislators Against War will hold a mass for peace, South Wing Lobby, House of Representatives

International Rural Womens Day. Peasant women will stage a lightning rally in Mendiola to protest Bush visit and the preparations made by the Arroyo administration.

LFS, Anakbayan and other groups will escort the Bush mascot as it lands from a colorful parachute at the US Embassy

OCTOBER 16 (THURSDAY):

Bayan-NCR will welcome Bush with a 21 gun salute in a press conference at IFI Church

The Bush mascot will make another appearance at the US Embassy, 1pm.

Bayan Central Luzon will welcome Bush with a vigil protest in Clark.

OCTOBER 17 (FRIDAY):

Peace advocates and Anti-war personalities gather in an Interfaith prayer assembly at the Liwasang Aurora, Quezon City Memorial Circle.

Bayan Southern Tagalog will make a stop-over at the LTA building in Makati and will hold an on-site press conference before proceeding to Quezon City

Bayan media briefing on the final conduct of protests during the Bush visit, 1 pm at Bayan National Office.

Protesters from Central Luzon and Southern Tagalog will be joined by leaders and activists from Metro Manila and will hold a protest vigil at UP Diliman on the eve of the Bush visit. Final preparations for the big protest march on October 18. Good photo-ops and live coverage.

OCTOBER 18 (SATURDAY):

Bayan will lead a 20,000-strong march to the House of Representatives to protest the Bush visit and his address to the joint session of the Philippine Congress.
Highlights include burning of Bush/Gloria effigy

Street Dinner vs. State Dinner. Protesters will stage hapunan ng masa in Welcome Rotonda, 5pm.

MARCH TO MENDIOLA: Several thousand protesters carrying a thousand torches and a hundred burning US flags will march towards Mendiola on the occasion of the Bush-Arroyo State Dinner. Protest will also be send-off for Bush and will cap the days activities.
